Tripura CM urges officials to earn people's confidence

Agartala, April 30: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar advised the civil service officers to work sincerely in order to earn confidence of the people for whom they are implementing various projects. ‘Work in such a manner so that the people can remember you even after you go for retirement’, he said.  Addressing a gathering of government officers at Prag Bhawan here to mark the civil service day Chief Minister said the political leadership speaks about their mission and visions and it is the responsibility of the civil service officers to execute it.  He said the credibility of a government, its reliability is fully dependent on how the projects undertaken for people’s betterment are being executed and here is the importance of the service officers. The Chief Minister did not mention anything about the political changes being taken place in the state and in the tiol level but cautiously avoided all caustic remarks he became familiar in any gathering of professiols for last few years. Instead he carefully tried to eulogize the officials and said being the most enlightened section of the society you are well aware about your duties and responsibilities to the society and fully capable to execute it in best possible manner.  Chief Minister claimed that the government officers in Tripura are enjoying full independence in executing their task as the political leadership never interferes with their decisions. He urged the government officials to take decisions according to need and assured that his government is ready to back them in case of any difficulty.
