Tripura CM vows to make State police best in country

Agartala, April 12:  Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has expressed confidence on the abilities of the Tripura Police in crime detection and maintaining law and order, and vowed to initiate measures to make it the best force in the country.
He assured that the government would take all appropriate steps to create an environment so that the security personnel could discharge their duties in a free and fair manner without interference of any sorts.
He was talking to the reporters after visiting the head quarter of the 10th Bn of the Tripura State Rifles at Barjala in Jirania subdivision.
He said it is the duty of the government to ensure that the needs of those who provide round-the- clock security to the people of the State are fulfilled.
Appreciating the State police for solving many difficult cases within a short time, he told the jawans and the officials to perform their duties with more responsibility.
Addressing a Sainik Sammelan, Deb told the jawans and the officers to launch a brave fight against drugs, which is a big mece in our society. “We must ensure that Tripura is free from all kind of drug-related incidents,” he said.
