Agartala: Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarman advised guardians against making a mad rush to educate their children in English medium schools as the “medium of instruction is not important for quality education”.

“Bengali or English, whatever may the medium be, the highest priority should be on quality education”, he said after inaugurating the reunion of former students of Chandrapur Higher Secondary School at Udaipur on Sunday.

The Deputy Chief Minister said providing quality education is the priority of the BJP-IPFT coalition government and they are earnestly trying to ensure that good teachings are imparted to the students.

He claimed that the present government is moving in a new direction of ensuring welfare to every citizen and for this the people don’t have to go to the government.
