Tripura dotes Rs 1 cr for Tamil du flood relief

Agartala, Dec 15: The Tripura government will contribute Rs one crore to the ongoing effort to provide relief to the flood-affected people of Tamil du. “The state cabinet in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Tuesday decided to dote Rs one crore to aid the people affected by recent floods and rains in Tamil du,” Fince Minister Bhanu Lal Saha told reporters. The floods left a trail of destruction in Tamil du, claiming over 300 lives and ravaging road and rail links, airport, power and telecom lines. (IANS)
