Tripura : State gets Justice Sanjay Karol as new Chief Justice

Agartala: Himachal Pradesh High Court Judge Justice Sanjay Karol has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. Justice Karol was given a send off on Monday.

At his former workplace, in a Full Court Address, Chief Justice Surya Kant described Justice Karol as an ideal judge with excellent qualities of "head and heart".

He further said that Justice Karol has always shown eagerness to do justice and stood by the oppressed and deserving and has never allowed technicalities to overshadow the free flow of justice.

Justice Karol said, "he feels proud in sharing that on the national index, the Himachal Pradesh High Court is amongst the topmost high courts".

Justice Sanjay Karol also said that he has adopted methods like meditation and proposed legal clinic at Panchayat level.
