Tripura thrash Services by 219 runs

GUWAHATI, Oct 16: Tripura thrashed Services by 219 runs in the Ranji trophy tie at the Barsapara Ground here today. With this win Tripura, who registered first victory in the Ranji Trophy after four years, collected six points from this game.

Services needed 383 runs in the second innings to win the game but the entire team today bowled out 163 runs. Gurinder Singh (4-25) and Murasingh (3-54) bowled brilliantly in the second innings and shared 7 wickets between them.Except G Rahul Singh (51), who scored half century in the second innings, no other batsmen of Services were able to contribute big score on the board.

Earlier Tripura added 60 more runs to their overnight total before declared their second innings at 340-3 this morning. SK Patel remained not out on 127 while Udiyan Bose scored 165 runs.
