Tripura to set up 29 new English Medium Schools

Agartala, Dec 23 : Tripura government has decided to set up 29 new English medium schools

in the state considering the increasing demand from the students and guardians. The decision was taken in a meeting at state secretariat presided over by the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Education minister Tapan Chakraborty, principal secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Rakesh Sarwal, principal secretary for education Sushil Kumar and other senior officials were present in the meeting. It is learnt that the Chief Minister in the meeting stressed on the need for increasing the number of English medium schools in the state. He also instructed the education department to prepare a working plan to set up new English medium school and to examine the places where the existing Bengali medium schools can be converted to English medium.
