Tripura urges Akshaya Patra to extend aid to other students as well

Agartala, Jan 9:  The Tripura government, in a letter to Akshaya Patra magement, has appreciated the efforts of the Foundation in running the 100% Free of cost (FOC) Great India Talent School.

Acknowledging the significant change in the community where the school operates, the Tripura government has urged the Foundation to extend their operations and include more communities that require such support. The Great India Talent School conducted its first annual examition in December 2017 for more than255 students and was executed smoothly. The letter also mentioned that considering the reaction to the exams, the response for new enrolment will be overwhelming, and to keep pace with the community aspirations, the State government has requested the Foundation to expand its operations.

In an initiative to recognize, nurture and build talent among margilised families in Tripura, Great India Talent School (also known as Mahan Bharat Pratibha Vidyalaya) was iugurated in Kashiram Para, Kanchanpur Sub-division, Tripura on March 29 last. This project, which has been initiated and led by Great India Talent Foundation, will receive support from AkshayaPatra and Sadhak Ratanmani Seva Sadan, stated a press release.
