Truck driver dies in mishap

GAURISAGAR, Aug 23: A truck driver died in a road accident on Wednesday morning at Jhanji fuel station under Gaurisagar Police Station in Sivasagar. According to reports, a Duliajan-bound truck laden with empty LPG cyclinder and  bearing registration no AS-01-AC-5291, was coming from Mokokchung in galand. It stopped in a fuel station at night. In the morning when the driver M.Gu Singh was about to resume his journey and tried to start the truck, he could not do so. Another LPG cylinder-laden truck bearing registration no AS-03-AC-4114 was stationed there. He asked the other truck driver to hit his truck from behind so that it starts. But suddenly driver M.Gu Singh came down from his truck and was crushed to death under his own truck. Gaurisagar Police immediately rushed to the spot and sent the truck driver’s body to Sibsagar Civil Hospital for postmortem. M.Gu Singh (59) is the son of MK Mohan Singh of Simaluguri Borkula gar, Monipuri Basti under Simaluguri Police station in Sivasagar district
