Truck laden with illegal stones seized by special forest department team

Tezpur: Acting on a tip-off, a special team of forest department personnel lead by Debabrata Gogoi, Range Forest Officer of Tezpur Sadar range under Sonitpur West Forest division, Tezpur, seized a truck bearing no. AS-01 C-5221 laden with stone from Goroimari area under Salonibari Police Station in Sonitpur district on Wednesday. Official sources said that the truck was seized for the violation of Assam Minor Mineral Rule 2013 and the forest department under Rule 63 and 64. Gogoi further added these trucks were running without TP and challan for supplying minor minerals.
