Trucks carrying illegal timber seized

DEMOW, Dec 26: On Sunday night, four trucks carrying illegal timber were seized by Bolin Deori, Additiol Superintendent of Police of Sivasagar, and his team at Bamunbari near Demow on NH-37 road.

The trucks (AS-01 GC 9626, AS-01 GC 9627, AS-01-GC-9628 and AS 01 FC 5579) which were carrying illegal timber, were coming from Mayo in Aruchal Pradesh and heading towards lbari. According to sources, a man who hails from Tinsukia was trying to send the illegal timber to lbari at night.
