TU faculty awarded prestigious Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry

Tezpur, April 26: Professor Niranjan Karak of the Department of Chemical Sciences, Tezpur University, has been awarded with the prestigious Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in recognition of his contribution to the field of Chemistry. Prof. Karak has been consistently working to develop advanced polymers, nanomaterials and their nanocomposites at the Centre for Polymer Science and Technology, Department of Chemical Sciences, Tezpur University.

 Prof. Karak, whose research areas are Polymer nanocomposites, Nanomaterials, hyper branched polymers and smart materials, is no stranger to recognition. In 2017, Prof. Karak was jointly awarded the Visitor’s award in ‘research’ category along with Dr. Shyam Sundar from Banaras Hindu University.
