TU students bag prize

TEZPUR, Nov 11: The debate team of Tezpur University comprising Kaveri Sarkar, Integrated MA 7th semester, Department of EFL and Piyashi Dutta, PhD research scholar, Department of Sociology, won first prizes in the prestigious Inter-University Annual Debate Competition, organised by the Observer Research Foundation, Kolkata Chapter, on November 7 in Kolkata. While Sarkar was awarded first prize for defending the topic ‘Climate change negotiations will bring the developed and developing world to act together’, Dutta was awarded first prize for speaking against the motion.
