Tuki announces ex–gratia

Itagar, January 24: Concerned over repeated cases of vehicle accident occurring on Bhalukpong–Tawang road claiming several precious lives, Chief Minister bam Tuki has directed the district administration to take up road safety measures to contain the recurrence.

While speaking to DC Bomdila over phone, the CM directed to hold an immediate meeting with the BRO to put on safety signs in vulnerable spots besides requesting the BRO to expedite the widening process of the roads especially in low visibility areas like Sessa and Nechiphu.  While deeply mourning over the death of several people in two back to back accidents, Chief Minister announced ex–gratia of Rs 1.5 Lakhs each to next of kith and kins of the deceased. Terming the incident as most unfortute, Tuki extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members while praying for the eterl peace of the departed souls. At least eleven labourers were killed and several others got seriously injured, including three critically, when a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Sessa along Bhalukpong–Tawang road yesterday.
