Tuki bats for tapping state’s diversity for promoting tourism

Itagar, February 23: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister bam Tuki

has stressed on the need for tapping the rich cultural diversity of the

state for promoting tourism and to garner economic development.

Addressing a huge gathering at Indira Gandhi Park here Sunday night

on the closing ceremony of the “Festival of Aruchal”, Tuki expressed

his happiness on the successful celebration and credited the

wholehearted participation of everyone, an official release informed.

“Our various festivals like festival of Aruchal including

indigenous cultural festivals should be tapped in this direction,” he

said adding, the Vision 2030 with the theme: Together we will do it has a

holistic approach which would encompass tourism, economic development

and holistic development of the state particularly in social sectors of

health, education and sought the support of all stakeholders.

He further lauded the contributions of artists, players, NGOs, SHGs,

Paramilitary forces like ITBP, CRPF, GoI undertakings including APP and

government departments.

During the prize distribution ceremony, the CM gave away the prizes

consisting of a trophy and cash award in Football Men and Women Category

of the 2nd Edition of State Level Chief Minister’s Trophy 2014–15.

Earlier CM in the day along with Civil Aviation Minister Thangwang

Wangham, parliamentary secretaries Mama tung and Karya Bagang, chief

secretary Ramesh Negi, DGP S Nithiandam, senior officers visited the

exhibition stalls and appreciated the efforts and initiative of all, the

release added.
