Tuki calls on Sonia

Itagar, June 11: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister bam Tuki on Wednesday called on Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi at New Delhi. He was accompanied by cabinet ministers Pema Khandu and Thangwang Wangham and legislators Karya Bagang, P.D So, Phurpa Tsering, Jambey Tashi, Dikto Yekar and Nyamar Karbak, an official communiqué informed here today.

The Congress President advised the delegation to diligently work towards overall development in the State. She also discussed various issues pertaining to strengthening the Party at the grassroots in planned manner and called for proper co-ordition between the Party and the Government.

There were also detailed discussions on the Party’s plans to celebrate the 125th Birth Anniversaries of Jawaharlal Nehru and Dr. B.R Ambedkar.

The delegation invited the Congress President to visit the state and she assured that she would make a visit to Aruchal Pradesh soon.

Later in the day, the delegation called on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and discussed various issues related to the Party.

In the meeting, it was decided that the Vice President would attend a Joint Convention of Congress frontal wings Aruchal Pradesh Youth Congress, Aruchal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal and NSUI in the state in September this year.
