Tuki gets new DIPR blueprint

Itagar, May 19: The Department of Information and Public Relations under its new Secretary Som Chombey has drawn up a holistic publicity model with a view to dissemite effective information to people of all sections by emphasizing on sensitization of masses on major initiatives of the government and also promotion of the sense of oneness among them.

In a power point presentation to Chief Minister bam Tuki in presence of Chief secretary Ramesh Negi and officers of the department here Monday, the Secretary, displayed a proposal that highlighted on dissemiting proper and effective information especially to the grass-root level, an official release said here today. Planned into four different components of publicity—tiol, state level, capital level and district level—the plan aims at enhancing outreach programme in a most effective way by employing different field publicity tools including audio visual and exhibition vans besides organizing various events at different levels.

Chombey also stressed on promoting the spirit of unity among the people of the state for sustained peace and progress. A theme under ‘Hamara Aruchal Yatra’ conceptualized for the proposed campaign with a goal of promoting oneness is planned for the publicity campaign. The chief minister advised the department to plan it detail and submit it for consideration.

He lauded the contribution and role of media but at the same time disapproved of misuse of particularly social media by certain individuals to malign innocent people, the release added.
