Itagar, April 29: The People’s Party of Aruchal (PPA) has said that bam Tuki led Government in the state may not be survive and is sure to collapse sooner or later due to immense pressure being mounted from various quarters.

“The Tuki led government is bound to crumble sooner or later because of the immense pressure mounting from various quarters, allegedly by those people who had been instrumental in helping him come to power after toppling the late Jarbom Gamlin’s six-month-old government for not keeping his numerous ‘impossible’ promises”, commented PPA President Kahfa Bengia in a meeting on “Rising corruption in the state of Aruchal Pradesh”.

With each passing day, questions are being vociferously raised by all the civil rights organizations and other political parties culmiting on three serious issues pertaining to fincial irregularities of the highest order in the state, he said.

One of the most serious issues the entire public of the state would like to know is payment of public money amounting to Rs. 280 Cr. to just two to three of the infamous PDS contractors just on the flimsy ground that it was being done to honour the Supreme Court directives, whereas the onus of the payment, in fact, lies with the Government, of India, said the PPA President.

“Why has the Government of Aruchal Pradesh not been able to reimburse such big amount from the Centre as yet?” he questioned.

The party also demanded thorough examition of all records of Department of Relief, Govt. of Aruchal from the years 2004 - 2015 and any body found guilty should be brought to book as per law.

“No matter whether the Tuki government remains or not, a systematic and thorough probe has to be done through CBI at the earliest on all the records pertaining to the department,” said Bengia.

The assets and properties of all the officers working under this Department should be also assessed, added Bengia.

There are shocking revelations coming from the much hyped job mela scheme, the detail reports of which are yet to be fully verified.

The party appealed to the public of the state to join hands in its fight against corruption in the state.

“Tuki must step down on moral grounds before mass agitations are launched by all the civil rights organizations against his alleged mis-governce,” added Bengia.
