Tuliram Ronghg iugurates irrigation projects

HOWRAGHAT, August 5: Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) in association with EMs of KAAC, principal secretary, KAAC and senior officials of Irrigation department iugurated a series of newly constructed irrigation schemes here on Thursday.

The iuguration of the projects was started since yesterday in various places under Diphu legislative assembly. Besides, he inspected number of irrigation projects, which are under construction.

According to official report, a total of 124 irrigation projects constructed under the AIBP scheme from the fincial year 2013-14 and 2014-15, are almost in the stage of completion.

As a part of this, six numbers of irrigation projects constructed in various locations under Bakaliaghat police station including Patradisa, Tikaklangso Hantharlangso, Hidilangbe, Matikhala and Atigaon were officially iugurated here on Wednesday.

Irrigation projects constructed at Langparpan, Borjan, Disamaipur, Dikhodisa and Dissama under Manja police station were iugurated today. Besides, a training hall cum guest house of Animal Husbandry and Veteriry Department constructed at Cattle Demonstration Farm Complex with estimated cost Rs 90 lakhs was officially iugurated today at Manja.

Meanwhile, inspecting the ongoing construction of irrigation schemes, Ronghang expressed satisfaction. However, Ronghang told the mediapersons that fund yet to receive against few constructions of irrigation schemes from the government. No irregularities in construction are detected here, Ronghang added.

Meanwhile, farmers expressed satisfaction for constructing irrigation here at Langparpan, Manja.

 KAAC EMs comprising Mangol Sing Timung, D Uphing Maslai, Lanki Timung, Pradip Singr, Pradi Dipusa, Bidya Sing Tokbi, chairman, KAAC, local MAC Kangjang Terang, Joysri Dawlagaphu, principal secretary and department senior officials were present during the inspection of irrigation schemes as well series of formal iuguration of newly constructed irrigation schemes.
