TUR writes to Chief Secretary

SHILLONG, July 15: The Thma U Rangli (TUR) will be sending a letter to the Chief Secretary (CS) and East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner (DC) bringing to light before authorities the plight of Gram Sevikas who are on an indefinite hunger strike. In its letter the TUR alleged that willful negligence on the part of the authorities who ignored eight letters/petitions and requests for appointments since 2013. “Such negligence can in fact be construed as abetting the illegalities that take place in the processes of announcement of government job vacancies and appointments of various Government functiories,” the TUR said.
