Turf of Nehru stadium to be revived

GUWAHATI, Oct 17: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare and Board of Sports, Assam today jointly celebrated the 115th birth Anniversary of RG Baruah, the maker of Nehru stadium sports complex.  Anjan Sharma, the Director of the Sports and youth Welfare department, in his brief speech, said that several plans have been taken to modernize the R G Baruah sports complex. The construction of a new squash court has already started while the turf of the Nehru stadium and the flood light will also be upgraded in the coming days.
