TV ad rates uffected by India's World T20 exit

Mumbai, April 2: Although hosts India have crashed out of the World Twenty20, cricket administrators need not worry as the advertisement rates have not been affected too much.

After losing to New Zealand in their campaign opener, India — winners of the iugural World T20 in 2007 — staged a strong comeback by beating arch-rivals Pakistan, Bangladesh and Australia.

But they eventually lost to West Indies in the second semi-fil by seven wickets here on Thursday to crash out of the competition.

“India’s exit from World T20 won’t hit the advertising rates too much as the advertising slots for the fil were pre-sold,” a source told IANS on Saturday. IANS
