Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Meets Rahul Gandhi, Talks about Ways to Curb the Spread of Fake News

Guwahati: The Monday meet between Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Congress president Rahul Gandhi is in talks right now as the duo discussed a lot about things like the steps the social network was taking to curb the spread of fake news. The duo further discussed as to how can they encourage healthy conversation on the micro-blogging website and lead to healthy thinking.

Rahul Gandhi, even took to Twitter to share the news and posted, “Jack Dorsey, the co-founder and CEO of Twitter dropped in to chat this morning. Twitter has grown into the most dominant ‘conversation’ platform globally. Jack explained some of the steps being taken to keep those conversations healthy and measures being taken to tackle the menace of fake news.”

With a present number of followers accounting to 336 million globally, the micro-blogging website is working hard to increase the collective health, openness and civility of dialogue on its platform.

It is Dorsey’s maiden visit to India who also met the Dalai Lama over the weekend. Dorsey, after meeting Lama mentioned him as an “amazing teacher”.

Dorsey further tweeted, “Thank you for not actually pulling out my nose ring, despite a lot of painful effort.”
