Two arms suppliers arrested in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, January 8: Two persons suspected to be arms suppliers, Joyl Abedin and Abdul Karim Khan, were apprehended from Dhologaon under Salakati police station in Kokrajhar recently. Two pistols, one–hand made AK–47 rifle, 10 live ammunitions were recovered from them. Police said the duo had come to supply the arms in the area in a bicycle when they were apprehended during regular checking at Dhologaon. The two tried to run on seeing the policeman but were caught after a chase. Police said Joynul Abedin was from Hakaimari in Bongaigaon while Abdul Kharim was from Khadhanga in Chirang district.
