Two arrested for eve-teasing

Dhekiajuli, April 20: Two youth have been severely beaten by locals in Dhekiajuli for alleged eve-teasing. It so happened that on Wednesday a girl who was on her way home after completing domestic chore at the banglow of the manager, Tinkhuria TE was teased by two youth. The girl informed the matter to the tea garden workers. Later, the workers caught the two youth and severely assaulted the duo. The youth were identified as Rafikul Iskam (28) and Jahirul Islam (30).  Later, the police was informed and an FIR was lodged in Dhekiajuli Police Station. A case has been registered against the two youth under Sec 341/354(D)/34 of the IPC and the accused have been sent to Tezpur Central Jail.
