Two arrested with fake currency notes

BARPETA, April 9: Two persons were arrested today with fake currency notes having face value of Rs 1, 37000 in Barpeta. Acting on a tip off, a team of Barpeta police arrested Jamaluddin of Banglipara village and Tariqueuddin of Balikuri village under Kalgachiya police station in Barpeta district. On being interrogated, the accused told the police that two other women were also involved in the fake currency notes racket. Police said that a case has been registered in this connection. Important inputs about the gangs involved in the racket and their network have been received in the interrogation, said a police official.
