Two Asak (Garo) Revolutiory Army rebels bbed

Bongaigaon , March 22: Following previous information, Goalpara district police with the help of Bongaigaon district police and Chirang district police, bbed two Asak (Garo) Revolutiory Army rebels on the night of March 21-March 22 from Tulungiya area of Bongaigaon district under Abhayapuri PS. 
The bbed rebels have been identified as Wiliam A Sangma alias Tarzan (26), son of Charles Sangma, a resident of Bkrapur village under Dudhnoi PS of Goalpara district and Niksang T Sangma (21), son of Lingbirth Sangma, a resident of Chiren village under Rongjeng PS of Williamgar, East Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. 
Talking to media persons, Amitah Sinha, Goalpara Superintendent of Police, said that police had information that they were hiding in an area of Goalpara. “But before we could b them, they fled from the spot. We immediately chased them. The rebels filly were compelled to leave their Ford Fiesta car (AS-01-AG-7777) on the road and run to a village of Bongaigaon district (Tulungiya). Immediately we launched a search operation with the help of Bongaigaon and Chirang district police and local people of the area, resulting in the bbing of the two rebels at midnight. Total eight mobile phones were recovered from their possession,” he said.
“William Sanga is the self-styled c-n-c of Asak (Garo) Revolutiory Army. He was the most wanted crimil and terrorist in North Garo hills and West Garo hills of Meghalaya. He was involved in several kidpping and extortion cases. We are investigating the matter and hope we will be able to get much information about the organization from further investigation,” the SP said.
A police source said that another rebel was with them last night but he succeeded to flee from the spot. Police are continuing search operation in the area.
