Two Bangladeshi tiols held

SHILLONG, July 20: The Border Security Force (BSF) troops deployed at Gumaghat, South West Khasi Hills district apprehended one Bangladeshi tiol while he was infiltrating from Bangladesh into Indian territory. He was identified as Sohyel Mohmad (14), resident of Laurigarh under Tahirpur police station in Sumganj district of Bangladesh.  After questioning, the Bangladeshi tiol revealed before BSF that he had crossed the intertiol border through unfenced riverine area for collecting the fire wood.

In another incident the troops of BSF deployed in Kuliang, East Jaintia Hills district apprehended another Bangladeshi tiol while he was trying to cross the intertiol boundary. He was identified as Abdul Haque (69) of Bishnupur under Kaighat police station in  Sylhet district of Bangladesh. On questioning the Bangladeshi revealed that he has been working as daily wage labour in Rymbi Coal mine, Jaintia Hills for last few months.  He was returning his country through unfenced, bushy area near BOP Kuliang. During search the BSF party recovered two mobile phones with two Bangladeshi SIM cards, some cosmetic items and more than Rs. 1500 Indian currency from his possession, BSF officials said.
