Two bbed in oil stealing case

GAON, February 17: gaon police bbed two miscreants on Monday evening. Police sources said that both the miscreants were directly involved in an oil stealing case on January 30 near Uriagaon bypass road.

The miscreants have been identified as Prab Bora of Bhutaigaon and Dip Saikia of Putani Geleki under gaon Sadar police station. The sources further said that a large group of miscreants were involved in the entire case and they were still to be apprehended. Police operation was on. Two more groups of miscreants from Upper Assam and Lower Assam were also involved in the case and police were searching for these two groups also, added the sources.

Police seized various machinery instruments from the two miscreants, valued at more than Rs 1 lakh. The miscreants had stolen a large amount of crude oil from an oil pipeline of Oil India Company located at Uriagaon- Nonoi PWD road near Uriagaon bypass on January 30. The company officials had lodged an FIR at gaon Sadar police station.
