Two bike lifters apprehended

GAON, October 7: Two bike lifters were bbed by gaon police on Wednesday from a busy area of gaon town. They have been identified as Hibjur Rahman of Aminpatty and Ramjan Ali of Madhupur. Police also recovered a stolen bike bearing registration number AS 02 M 9295 from their possession. Both the bike lifters spent few months earlier in jail in connection with a bike lifting case. At first police picked them up based on suspicion as both were roaming in the parking place of gaon Trade Fair held in Neherubali. After interrogation both of them admitted stealing the bike. On the other hand, people caught hold of a thief in the busy area of Marowaripatty. The thief tried to loot Rs 20,000 from one Dilip Bora of Raidongia area by throwing dirty substance over him. Witnessing the incident, passersby caught hold of the thief and handed him over to the police.
