Two bike lifters bbed

Golaghat (Dhekial), Jan 21: Golaghat Police bbed two bike lifters, one from Khatkhati of Dimapur and another from Furkating of Golaghat district on Saturday night following secret information. The bike lifters have been identified as Prasenjit Das of Tripura and Promos Duarah of Furkating under Golaghat Police station. The police recovered a Yamaha FZ bike bearing registration no. AS 05J 3299 from their possession.

According to sources, Khakhati Police caught Prasenjit Das on charge of bike thief. Bike lifter Prasenjit Das revealed that with the help of  Promod Duarah, he had stolen the bikes from Golaghat district and sold them in Dimapur of galand. On the basis of his statement, Golaghat police arrested Promos Duarah. Both the bike lifters said that Podum Duarah handed over the bikes to Prasenjit at Furkating Railway station. Besides, they took the stolen bikes to Dimapur by allegedly bribing the police at the check gates on NH-39 and sold them at Pura Bazaar of Dimapur. Golaghat Police are interrogating them for more information.
