Two bodies recovered

PATHSALA, Feb 17: Sensation prevailed at Bajali  in Barpeta district following the recovery of two bodies in the Pahumara River in the Karaikuwa yapara area.

 On Friday, the body of Prabhat Ch Das, son of Bheket Das (gaonburah) of Sarupeta town was recovered. Later, the body was sent to FAAMCH, Barpeta for post-mortem.

 On Saturday, another body was found floating in the Pahumara River at Karaikuwa yapara Chupa. The deceased, whose age is believed to be around 40 years to 45 years, is yet to be identified.  Local people suspect that the man had accidentally fallen down from a bridge. Police are investigating the matter.
