Two candidates withdraw nomition

SIVASAGAR, February 2: Two candidates have withdrawn their nomitions for civic polls in Sivasagar subdivision scheduled for February 9, an official of the Sivasagar Election Office said. While two candidates from Sivasagar MB and Amguri MB have withdrawn their nomitions from the poll battle, there is not a single candidate in the list of withdrawal in the Demow TC, added the official. Dilip Kalita, an independent candidate from Ward No. 2 of Amguri MB and Riku Borgohain, who had filed his nomition for Ward No. 14 of Sivasagar MB as an independent candidate withdrew his nomition on Monday. Altogether 51 candidates are now left in fray for 14 wards of Sivasagar MB.
