Two car-lifters arrested

SIVASAGAR, November 18: Sivasagar Police led by TSI Dibyajyoyo Morang on Monday evening arrested two car lifters from Station Chariali area in Sivasagar town. The duo were identified as Moi Konwer of Kalibari area and Pranjal Bora of gaon. Investigation revealed that Moi Konwer was earlier arrested with a stolen two-wheeler in July from Cherekapar area of Sivasagar, while Pranjal Bora was arrested by DSP Sirajul Haque in January, 2014 from Bhikharipatty area of Sivasagar and one .22 pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Both the accused were sent to jail on Tuesday, said police.
