Two car lifters bbed in Raha

GAON, April 9: Raha and gaon police led by ASP (HQ) Hitesh Ray apprehended two wanted car lifters on the NH 37 four-lane road near Raha on Wednesday night when they were on their way to gaon from Guwahati. The car lifters have been identified as Ikramul Ali of Khagarijan Thelamara and Farik Ali of Tamulpur Khuldilgar. The police have seized five rounds of bullets from the accused. Police sources here stated that based on specific information, Raha and gaon police launched an operation. The car lifters were travelling in a Maruti car (AS 02B 4645) from gaon to Guwahati. When the police asked them to stop, they tried to escape but were apprehended.
