Two cattle smugglers held

DHUBRI, Oct 15: Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended two cattle smugglers on Friday near the intertiol boundary under Dhubri district, stated a press release. The cattle smugglers have been identified as Mddulal Ali (19), son of Jamadar Ali, and Surat Jamal Miya (19), son of Md Samad Ali, both residents of village Katiarala, Part-iii, in South Salmara district. They were apprehended by the troops of BOP Chowkichar along with six cattle heads, while they were trying to smuggle them from India to Bangladesh. They have been handed over to local police for further legal action. Besides, BSF troops of Guwahati Frontier also seized 90 cattle heads having an approximate value of Rs 3,45,500 and 33 Phensidyl bottles valued at Rs. 3,828 in the intervening night of October 14 and October 15.
