Two commit suicide in Sivasagar

Joysagar, May 26: Two persons reportedly committed suicide on Wednesday in different places of Sivasagar town. As per reports received, one person hailing from Moran town committed suicide in a hotel situated near ASTC bus stand of Sivasagar. He was identified as Anil Sahu (24) and he was a representative of Sahara India Company. His body was recovered by Sivasagar Police following intimation from hotel authorities and was found hanging from the ceiling fan. Later, his body was sent to Joysagar Civil Hospital for post mortem.

 In another incident, the body of a woman was recovered by Sivasagar Police from Kamarfodia village near Sivasagar town. The woman was identified as Putul Medhi, wife of one rendra Medhi. She was 60. Putul reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from an iron pipe in her house on Wednesday evening. Sivasagar Police recovered her body and also sent it to Joysagar Civil Hospital for post mortem. Family sources said that Putul Medhi was suffering from various ailments since a long time and was facing depression due to her ill health.
