Two cops suspended for dereliction of duties

ITAGAR, Oct 4: Aruchal Pradesh Home Minister Kumar Waii has asked every police personnel in the state to perform their assigned duties with utmost sincerity, discipline and punctuality, saying that any sort of indiscipline and insincerity will not be tolerated. Taking strong note of the insincerity in performing duties by police personnel on the night of September 30 at Yupia Tri-Junction and ‘O’ Point Tili, Waii issued a directive to City SP to suspend Mohan Hazarika and Ct. J Yukar, the night duty in-charges of the two mentioned point with immediate effect. At the same time, Waii said, performer will be rewarded suitably.

Accordingly, Ct.Tesring Tashi of IRBn, who was leading the ka at Kamkar llah (Model Village and Ct. Hura Simon, who was leading the ka at Ganga BOP were awarded with cash reward.

“If the police itself fail to maintain discipline, how can we show example to the citizen,” Waii said.

“If any police personnel are found guilty of not performing duty with sincerity in future, stringent discipliry actions will be initiated against them irrespective of their ranks. Responsibilities need to be fixed at all level,” the Home Minister said, adding that he would not be a silent spectator, an official communiqué said here today.
