Two dailies booked for picture goof-up

Srigar, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday booked two newspapers for publishing a fake picture and captioning it as a slain nephew of Pakistan based LeT commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. Police said an FIR had been lodged against two newspapers for passing off a Jammu based civilian Majid Khata as the militant killed in Hajin encounter on Saturday. The two newspapers, Dainik Jagran and Amar Ujala, have been booked under sections 505 and 153 of state’s Ranbir Pel Code. Khata a resident of Khatika Talab in Jammu was shocked after seeing his photograph published in these newspapers. (IANS)
