Two-day career counseling workshop held

Dibrugarh, Dec 6: Dibrugarh Hanumanbax Surajmall Kanoi College has been regularly organizing various career counseling and coaching programmes not only for the students of the college but also for students of nearby colleges to equip them for various competitive examitions. With this objective, recently a two-day career counseling workshop for fifth semester students was organized at DHSK College recently by the Dibrugarh district administration in collaboration with the Information and Career Guidance Cell of the college where students of six colleges, including the host college, participated.

Dr. Bhushan Kelkar, an alumnus of IIT Bombay and Madhura Kelkar, both from Pune were the resource persons of the workshop and they covered wide ranging topics like MOOCs, mind map, psychometric test, resume writing, interview skills, mock interview, spoken English and internships.

The participants said that they were immensely benefitted from the workshop and thanked the district administration and DHSK College authority for arranging such a career counseling programme for them.

Dr. Bhusan Kelkar has trained hundreds of civil service aspirants in India and has also provided his valuable career counseling in many foreign countries including USA, UK, and Chi. Meanwhile, the Principal of DHSK College Dr. Sashi Kanta Saikia informed that a 15-day high-level coaching on UPSC/APSC and other competitive examitions organized by the Information and Career Guidance Cell of the college in collaboration with Academy of Civil Services, Dibrugarh, kicked off from Tuesday which will continue till December 20.
