Two-day children festival held

MARGHERITA, March 28: Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad Tinsukia District  Committee and Tirap Regiol  Committee organized a two-day Children Festival at Tipong Club in Margherita region recently. The first day of the programme began with hoisting of Flag by Aboni Chaliha, president of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad Tinsukia District Committee, followed by smriti tarpan by Shuban Das, general secretary of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad Tinsukia District Committee. After that sports, drawing competition, Bhupen Sangeet, Rabha Sangeet and Jyoti Sangeet competition were held where more than 500 students and people of nearby areas participated. The second day of the programme began with a meeting presided over by Tipong Academy School Principal Balaram Saikia. BJP leader bo Bora, Tipong Colliery head clerk bin Gogoi, Pintu Dutta and Jun Konwar spoke at the meeting and said that children were the future of the tion.
