Two–day Shirish Festival begins

BOKAKHAT, February 7: The two–day Shirish Festival of the tea tribes began on Saturday at Hatikhuli playground. Tea workers of 11 tea estates under Tata Tea Company have participated in the festival which has been organized for the first time in Kaziranga. On the occasion various sports and cultural competitions, which are unique among the tea tribes, have been organized in Hatikhuli playground and Rangajan respectively.  All the ministers and MLAs belonging to tea tribes will attend a meeting on February 8 where artists and literary persolities  of the tribe will be felicitated.
