Two-day workshop held for small tea growers

Golaghat, March 17: An NGO med Centre for Education and Communication, New Delhi, organized a two-day residential workshop on ‘Sustaible  Livelihood for Small Tea Growers’ in Golaghat recently.  In the workshop more than 35 small tea growers of Golaghat,  Jorhat and Karbi Anglong took part. Project Officers Sujit Hazarika , Minto Goswami , Pijush Goyari and Shampa Das gave lectures on various topics. An officer of the Tea Board, Dr Debojit Bora discussed various Tea Board schemes and policies under the 12th Plan for tea growers. On March 26 and March 27 another semir will be held on organic tea and the small tea growers will be given training on the same.
