Two dead, one seriously injured

Tezpur, Nov 6: A tragic road mishap took place on Sunday night around 11.30 pm at Mahabhairab area under Tezpur Police Station in Sonitpur district where two people died on the spot and one sustained serious injuries.

Sources said that one tempo bearing No. AS 12 E 8266 and bike bearing no. AS-12-5984 had a head-on collision. The deceased have been identified as tempo driver Atikur Rahman (21) from Amlapam under Borghat Police Station and Pianjit Doimari (22) from Udalguri. The other who sustained serious injuries has been identified as Emu Cherang (22) from Udalguri, sources said.
