Haflong, June 21: In a joint operation, Assam Rifle and Dima Hasao Police apprehended two active DHD(Action) cadres along with one 9mm pistol and five live bullets. They were involved in extortion spree in and around Lumding Railway station. Both the arrested cadres were identified as Indrajit Mazumder alias Tarzan Dimasa of Lower Haflong and Joy Mohon Phonglo of 14 kilo, Umrangso. They were later handed over to the Haflong Police station for further investigation. Both of them in connivance with UPLF and NSCN (IM) were trying to create terror in Dima Hasao by extorting people for quite sometime.
