Two Fake Gold Smugglers Arrested, Rs 20,000 Recovered

LAKHIMPUR: Two fake gold smugglers were arrested in Lakhimpur on Saturday. These notorious culprits were identified as Rajibul Ali and Samsul Haque of No 2 Sonapur under Bongalmora area of the district.

Following information from a source, Naoboicha Police apprehended the two smugglers from their native village. Police also detained two more persons from Cooch Behar, named Uttam Gosh and Mithu Das, who had come to purchase fake gold from the two smugglers. An amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered from the possession of the two persons.
