Two fraudsters held

Joysagar, Feb 22: Sivasagar Police arrested two fraudsters following an FIR lodged by the owner of Dey Jewellery, Babupatty, Sivasagar on Wednesday. The arrested fraudsters are identified as Rimpi Begum of Sivasagar and Mehrun Nisa of Kolkata. As per reports, Rimpi and Mehrun on Wednesday went to the Dey Jewellery and tried to sell some gold worth about 22 grams. But after examition, it was found that the gold was fake. The owner lodged an FIR in Sivasagar Sadar PS and police arrested both for trying to dupe people with fake orments. A case has been registered in this connection in Sivasagar PS, sources said.
