Two girls injured

DEMOW, June 30: A road accident took place in Demow Dehajan on Wednesday morning where two girls were seriously injured. On Wednesday morning,  a Maruti car (AS 04 B 6087) which was coming from Moran and was heading towards Sivasagar, hit the girls at a high speed due to which Bahagi Kisku (8), daughter of Ajit Kisku, and Manju Ghatowar (10), daughter of Mangal Ghatowar, both residents of Dehajan Habi Gaon, were seriously injured.

The local people immediately took the injured girls to Demow Model Hospital and after providing primary treatment, due to the serious condition of Manju Ghatowar, she was referred to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for further treatment. The Demow Police reached the accident area and took the Maruti car in their custody. The local people alleged that there was illegal wood in the Maruti car.
