Two GNLA rebels surrender

Tura, Sept 24: Two close aides of Garo tiol Liberation Army’ (GNLA) commander-in-chief Sohan D Shira surrendered before East Garo Hills acting SP Ringrang Momin at Williamgar police station on Sunday.  The duo has been identified as Chanchan G Momin (22) alias Gongaram and Challang C Maram (21). Both were from the sixth batch of recruits of the outfit. Police said Challang had been one amongst the security detail of Sohan and was part of the inner circle. They also laid down a pistol and a revolver.
