Two Golaghat jourlists 'targeted' by anti-social elements

Golaghat, February 15: Some anti-social elements have targeted two jourlists of Dergaon in Golaghat.

They allegedly printed some leaflets to malign the public image of the two jourlists. A senior jourlist of Dergaon and vice president of Golaghat District Jourlist Association, Padmalochan th was first targeted by the anti-social elements.  They printed some leaflets assassiting his character and distributed the leaflets in Dergaon town a few days back. After that another jourlist of the area and organizing secretary of Golaghat District Jourlist Association, Jagat Sonowal was targeted in the same way.

The Golaghat District Jourlist Association has demanded immediate inquiry into the matter and to book the culprits as per the law. A memorandum was submitted by Golaghat District Jourlist Association president Apurba Ballav Goswami and general secretary Rohit Gogoi to the Deputy Commissioner in this regard.
